Matt Harrop is the face behind Silent Way. He and his wife bought the property on which they grow their grapes in 2007, and their winery produces a mere 12'000 bottles per year on their small 1.2 hectare property. Matt is no mystery man in the winemaking scene. With quite the resume, he's currently the winemaker at Curly Flat, and has also spent time in the past at places like Shadowfax and Brokenwood.
This Pinot is rather unusual and interesting. With a faint colour and very funky on the nose, this Pinot opens up very well to reveal strawberry and cherry flavours. It's got some weight to it as well. Definitely an interesting and adventurous choice.
