Matt Harrop is the face behind Silent Way. He and his wife bought the property on which they grow their grapes in 2007, and their winery produces a mere 12'000 bottles per year on their small 1.2 hectare property. Matt is no mystery man in the winemaking scene. With quite the resume, he's currently the winemaker at Curly Flat, and has also spent time in the past at places like Shadowfax and Brokenwood.
A minimal intervention wine, this Chardonnay is reminiscent of the French Maconnais style. Bold and smashing flavours all round, it celebrates green apples, pears, and some good old oak.
