Natural Wine Co Sauvignon Blanc 2015
Jason and Rebecca O’Dea established Pig in the House vineyard in 1996, south of Canowindra, near the northern area of the Cowra subzone within the Central Ranges region in NSW. The Central Ranges are made up of three key subregions: Mudgee; Orange and Cowra. Orange is dominated by an extinct volcano, Mount Canobolas. The region is located on the western side of the Great Dividing Range about 3.5 hour drive north-west of Sydney and 3.5 hours drive north-west of Canberra. Orange is flanked by the Cowra subzone to the south and shares a small border with Mudgee to the north.
The Cowra subzone is in the warm, fertile, Lachlan Valley. The Subzone covers the villages of Cowra, Grenfell, Billmare and nearby Canowindra. This is also the warmest subzone due to its lower altitude and its unguarded front which allows warm winds blowing in from central Australia.

Canowindra is home to Windowrie Estate where Rosney and Pig in the House wines are made too. Windowrie's Jason and Rebecca started Pig in the House using Biodynamic practices and are certified organic. They created The Natural Wine Co as a second label to emphasise the regions ability to produce a Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and citrus aromas followed by apple like acidity and a clean dry-finish.
