Meadowbank is a family-run estate in Derwent Valley. Their vines were planted in 1974, which is considered ancient for Tasmania! Their Gamay vines, planted in 1987 are among the oldest Gamay vines in Australia. Their friend and business partner Peter Dredge is the winemaker behind their wines.
This Gamay displays a floral (rose) nose, slight earthiness, and exotic spices. On the palate its delicately tangy with flavours of poached plums and sour cherries. A dry and long finish.
Winemaker: Peter Dredge.
