Kennedy is a wine producer in Heathcote, with vines planted in the red Cambrian soil on the Eastern slopes of Mount Camel Range. John and Patricia have been farmers all of their lives, and run the land where they produce their sensational wines. ‘Henrietta’ is the name of their 1971 Leyland truck which they bought in 1981 for $2000, and has been used on their farm ever since. With a place in their hearts, they’ve named this wine after it.
‘Henrietta’ is medium-bodied wine, with a fresh vibrant nose, carrying notes of cherry, raspberry, white pepper and spice. It has flavours of red fruits, spice, woodsy spices, and, gum leaves. It is simple, yet lush and smooth, and still with some grip of tannin on the palate.
