First Foot Forward Chardonnay
Grown at 300m elevation by the Yarra Valley's southern fringe, the The Patch Vineyard is one of the Yarra Valley's coolest so much of the winemaking of this wine is about putting meat on the bones.
Hand picked grapes were pressed to two 500L French oak puncheons where they started fermenting naturally one week later. One puncheon was encouraged to go through wild malolactic fermentation to soften the wine. The other puncheon wasn't and it brings the fresh citrus and structure to the final blend.
Think white peach, cashew nuts and nougat carried along by the lemony acidity and hallmark Yarra Valley length.
105 dozen made.
