Fallen Giants is a hidden gem located at Halls Gap in the Grampians. The vines sit on the Eastern slopes and were planted over 50 years ago. The site comprises of red clay loam, dating back well over 380 millions ago.
Not well known to all, but Fallen Giants produces some knock out Shiraz’ at some very reasonable prices. The 2018 vintage shows dark crimson hues, with aromas of boysenberry, blackberry, cherry, clove and pepper. Also nuances of cedarwood and leather. On the palate, prepared to be delighted with flavours of blue and black fruits, florals note and peppercorn. Very drinkable now, and will also age brilliantly.
