A Domaine with enormous history dating back some 400 years in Chablis. This producer is no old-school ordinary vigneron. The 1er Cru plantings stretch 30 hectares.
With no oak usage at all, this wine was instead left to develop long and slowly - no artificial rushing of the process. It was left on skins for an extended period of time to achieve texture and weight, as well as low and slow ferments, and gradual malolactic fermentation. Also more critically, the wine has been left to age in tank for extensive period of time, for well over a decade!
