Tinto de Rulo originated in South Central Chile, in the Bio Bio valley, about 500k, south of Santiago. "Pipeno winemaking" is a very historic way of producing wines, dating back over 250 years ago - which involves old vines, manual hand de-stemming and crushing, and fermenting in clay amphoras.
This delicious natural style wine from Chile is fresh, crunchy, and a delicious red to drink, especially lightly chilled. Flavours of strawberry, cranberry and pomegranate tease the palate, adding to it some hazy texture, gentle acidity and delicate tannins. Delicious!
